4:46pm —Minority Walks out Over Holiday Bill
The Minority members in Ghana’s Parliament have staged a walkout over the Public Holiday (Amendment) Bill because they said the amendment sought to rewrite the country’s history regarding the founding father status of Dr Kwame Nkrumah. Their opposition was mainly against the government’s decision to change the status of Ghana’s First President, Dr Nkrumah, from a founder to be one of several other founders.
Before the walkout, the Minority Leader, Mr Haruna Iddrisu, and the Minority Ranking Member on the Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, had hinted that any future National Democratic Congress (NDC) government would amend the Constitution to reassert the founding father status of Dr Nkrumah.
10:08am —AYAWASO WEST WUOGON VIOLENCE–(31 January, 2019, By-Election)
The Commission of Inquiry visit scene of violence to have more understanding regarding to the testimonies given by the various personnel who were called before the commission.
The commission addressing the media on it visit said, ”We are here to check the location (previewed to the earlier )testimonies given by those witnesses.
Earlier before the commission, Mr Azugu, the commander of the police SWAT team stated that his men fired only six shot but it has been obsection that the commission witness more than than gun shot from various direction at the scenes.
The commission last visit took charge at Mr. Kwasi Obrempong house.He was happy seeing the commission to the resident as he previewed the commission about his resident.
The secretary to the commission brief the media,” The commission has had the opportunity to inspect the scene themselves”. He noted that the commission is satisfied about the evidence gathered, and added that the commission will hold a sitting on Monday, 4 March,2019.

8:00am—FIRST ALLIED BANKING CRISIS
8:00am The Customers of First Allied Savings and Loans Limited to go naked demonstration against the government over their inactive of their locked funds in the bank.
Speaking on Adom Dwasonsɛm today, 1 March ,2019, the victims of all over the regions in Ghana were encourage to join the pending demonstration of which might take effect after the period rest to the bank’s administrators to speak on the issue as to when they are paying them.
It is noted that today marks a third day to the ten days warning message given to the First Allied Savings and loans administrators.
