“We will Legalize Marijuana for Industrial Purpose”; LPG

The leader and founder of the Liberal Party of Ghana, Mr. Alvin Kofi Akpaloo has hinted his party’s readiness to legalize marijuana in Ghana when he is voted for as president of Ghana.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s political show “Ɛkosi Sɛn” host by Osei Bonsu (OB) on Tuesday May 21 ,2019, Mr.Kofi Akpaloo emphasises that marijuana holds a huge market impact on the Ghanaian economy.

He believes legalising marijuana will help boost the Ghanaian economy at a faster pace. “Most people do not know the use of the wee.We use wee for so many things, and there is nothing wrong with that. Kofi Akpaloo said.

Challenging the negative impact on the Ghanaian society, Mr. Kofi Akpaloo said, “There are a lot countries who have legalised wee , even Kofi Annan spoke about it. It cures disease like leprosy, they use it for hair cream and others.”

Adding to this he said, “China, Germany, Canada” are beneficiaries after legalising marijuana in their country for Industrial purposes, whereas Ghana “is sitting on money”.
